Hey guys, I got my badge and room for this years GenCon and wondering if we got anyone here going this year? This will be my one and only con this year I fear but it is the big one.
Josh plans on running some Z. I'm a possibility for attending this con, but I'm not 100%. I'll be going to Historicon just before this so the time off from work and my wife will be the determining factor. I really would like to attend though; I've never been before... its just that we should have a joint booth with MGP again in the Historicon vendor hall, so I'd need to be there (and Historicon has really become a tradition... something about having full service bars in the convention hall and being able to bring the brews right up to the gaming tables... call me pathetic, but that GAMING!!)
Yep, I will be running some Z for you all. I will be posting to GenCon this week so keep your eyes open. I will let you know what it is called and what time slots as soon as I know.
Well I'm waiting to see if my events are approved for GenCon this year. I will post the times and info for all once I get the word that they were approved.
The event will be run for all, so new players are welcome. I plan on giving a brief rules rundown in the beginning and then jump into the mayhem. Mini's will be provided as well as all needed materials. I welcome anyone out there to bring any cool conversions or other zombie coolness to show off and use in the event. I go to GenCon yearly and it is my one vacation for the year so I went light on the events this year...I got to play sometimes too. I hope that the times are good for you all and hope to put some faces to the names here on the forums. Thanks alot and see you in August.
Wow, time flies! Well the time is approaching and I got to kick it up into high gear to be ready for you all this year. Also, even if the times are bad for you please pop in to say hi. It was hard picking times for the events so let me know what you all think. Thanks again and take care.
So, I was wondering if anyone here was going to be out at GenCon? I picked up one of those terrain boards that Games Workshop is selling and with some help plan on having it ready for use. I like it because it breaks down into 2x2 sections and is fairly light making carrying it alone possible. I hope to see some of you this year and keep on tossing the dice.
Heya goat fans, I just got back from GenCon 09 and wanted to thank all the people that came out to play. We had 6 players the first and third slot and 5 on the 2nd slot. The last slot I had a full table of 8 player's. We played on a 6x4 board, one of those Games Workshop sectional boards, with 2 army reserve hangers in the middle. The board scenerio went well with a tie between the 4 games, Humans 2/Zombies 2. The human players had a disadvantage but all human teams performed admirally and the zombie players really kept the pressure on. I was impressed with the tactics on both sides and want to again send out a sincere Thank you to all for making my first GenCon Exploding Goat event listing such a success.
Hawaii sounds like a good choice I can't fault you for that decision. Also, much better for families. I do have pictures and as soon as I figure out the new program I got for pics I will post them. I was alone at the table so I only got a few pics of each game being busy running the event. I hope to see some of the pictures others took of the game that played on it. The board was pretty plain in my opinion and would have liked to have a grander board. I was only able to bring what one man could carry from the hotel room to the game room for each slot. The rumor is that next year will be bigger for us and we have a few other goats making the journey next year. I did buy two buildings for next years board and will give more details for 2010 as I get them.
The sad news is a virus got a hold of my computer and the thing got all funny on me. I had to start from scratch and lost my photos. I'm really sorry about the time lapse all my fault. I just don't really know alot about computers and anything involved with them is extra difficult for me. I just today figured out my password to get back onto the forums...I feel another beating coming. The good news is the Goat will be there at GenCon 2010 in force with many other goats attending and the Mastergoat is a picture taking maniac! I apologize again and thank you all for being sooooooo patient with me.
