i just got apocalipse Z & i love it but i intend to use it with battlefield evolution: world at war instead of regular battlefield evo & i'm wondering if i should still use the extra 50% cost for troops rule or not (WW2 troops & weapons aren't as powerfull as modern ones) ????
Well, to be very honest, we playtested Z against the modern armies far more than the World At War armies, so I would be taking a stab at any answer I gave...
That being said, you might make it 25% more for WWII troops and see how it works out. I'll talk to Kermit about it. He's our math whiz and the main force behind the bulk of the rules for Z. I did the fluff and concepting for the most part... and I never win...LOL.
If you have any feedback on the 25% if you try that, please let us know. We're always interested in people playtesting our stuff and breaking things! Its the best way we can improve.
Where does it say you increase the cost of troops? It says tanks by 50% and Air units by 100% but nothing about infantry.
Just got the book today so maybe I'm missing something. Could do with an ansewer though I just bought some elephants for zombie beasts and 250 zombies so I can rip apart my mates US army.
I believe the increase in cost is as you say only for the non infrantry units such as Tanks and aircraft. The point of the rule was to show how rare the units were and add alittle balance. Night of the Living dead wouldn't be so scary if the army had rolled in with tanks and APC's, lol. The important thing is that you and your friends have a good time and the point cost is meant more for a guide then set in stone rules. Have fun and enjoy the game!
we intend to play during world war (or more exactly Weird War 2) with the Nazies sending hordes of zombies to overrun the US 101'st airborne.s position at the battle of the bulge
